Product Overview +

The Formula is the most accessible all-mountain camber snowboard in the line. Its contemporary, yet timeless, mountain twin shape sits on Arbor's System Camber platform which features Parabolic Camber, Grip Tech and 3D Fender Technology. A rare combination of style, technology, and value make the Formula one of the best available choices for the resort-focused rider.

Features +

Real Wood Powerply

Real Wood Powerply is one of Arbor's signature technologies. It's a sustainably sourced wood topsheet that isn't just for looks—it actually acts like an extra layer of fiberglass, boosting the board's strength, durability, and performance. The natural wood grain gives each board a unique style, but it also improves board life and reduces the need for synthetic materials. We put a lot of care into crafting these topsheets, making our boards more sustainable and giving them that classic Arbor feel and quality.

Bio Resin

Bio-Resin is our more sustainable alternative to traditional petroleum-based resin. We use it in all our Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers, including on the Formula Snowboard. The ingredients for Bio-Resin are sourced as co-products or waste from other industrial processes, and it's made using green chemistry techniques. This reduces the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% compared to standard petroleum-based resin, all without sacrificing performance or durability. It's a key part of how we build high-quality boards while staying committed to sustainability.

Highland II Core

The Highland III Core is one of our premium wood cores, designed for high performance. It features the highest ratio of paulownia to poplar wood in our lineup, making it super lightweight without sacrificing durability or response. This core is all about delivering a lively, responsive ride while keeping the board light underfoot—perfect for riders who want quick edge-to-edge transitions and all-day energy on the mountain.

You'll find the Highland III Core in top-tier boards like the Formula, where it helps balance freestyle playfulness with backcountry power. If you're looking for a core that's light, strong, and built for serious riding, Highland III is the way to go.

Grip Tech 2.25mm

Grip Tech is a key feature on the Formula Snowboard. It's a unique sidecut design that adds extra contact points under your heels and toes, giving you more direct edge control and better grip—especially on hardpack or icy conditions. The "2.25 mm" refers to the size of the fender, which is a subtle 3º rise at the contact points. This helps make turn initiation smoother and reduces the chance of catching an edge, while still keeping the board responsive and stable. It's all about making your ride more controlled and confidence-inspiring.

Sintered Base

The Formula Snowboard features a sintered base. That means the base is made by compressing polyethylene pellets under high pressure, resulting in a denser, more durable, and faster surface compared to extruded bases. Sintered bases absorb wax better, so you'll get more speed and better glide—especially when you keep it waxed regularly. This is a great choice if you want top performance for big airs, charging hard, or riding in a variety of snow conditions.

The Formula Snowboard features a contemporary mountain twin shape with a sidecut designed for all-mountain versatility. While we don't publish the exact sidecut radius for each size, the Formula's sidecut is tuned to balance easy turn initiation with stability—making it approachable for beginners and intermediates, but still fun for progressing riders. The addition of Grip Tech adds extra contact points underfoot for better edge hold, especially on hardpack and icy conditions.
