We are looking for a Snowboard tech to work in our Tech shop located On West 4th in Vancouver.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is passionate about the brands we sell and the associated snow, skate and surf lifestyles. You have excellent oral and written communication skills, provide professional customer service and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. The position offers many benefits as staff get access to the activities and product that The Boardroom sells. We are also heavily involved in community related events.

Key Responsibilities:

Capable of maintaining a clean, organized and profitable workshop area.

Perform the highest level service on customer's snowboards and skis (base grinding, edge sharpening and waxing).

Repair all forms of snowboard damage (including but not limited to: p-tex, base patching, epoxy, sidewall replacement, edge replacement/welding, delamination).

Surfboard and wakeboard repair an asset.

Tend to customer's needs regarding tuning tools and supplies.

Manage time in an efficient manner to meet strict deadlines.

Be competent and willing to assist selling snowboard product when required.

Maintenance of all tuning machines and equipment.

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Snowboard Technician. Knowledge of the snowboard industry and snowboard construction. Experience using Wintersteiger, Reichmann and Montana machines an asset.

- Providing customer service for online sales and service via phone and email
- Processing online orders
- Picking, packing and shipping online orders
- Restocking
-Product transfer Driver (Requires full driver’s license)

Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge and passion for relevant activities: snow/skate/wake and surf
- Excellent time management
- Great customer service skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office, Excel, retail inventory programs
- Fluent in English
- Good problem solver
- Pleasant phone manner
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Reliable

A background in retail or online sales would be an asset.

Duties Performed:
Sales, up to date knowledge of products sold by the Boardroom
Customer service and helping co-workers
Till duties including cash outs
Awareness of and adherence to all shop policies and procedures
Participate in staff meetings
Work at shows and sales events
Basic upkeep of the shop and retail office
