Element Decon

The Element is a modern classic

Product Overview +

The Element is a modern classic for the resort riding rocker profile enthusiasts and designed to manage terrain that changes day-to-day or throughout the day. This mountain twin shape utilizes Arbor's System Rocker platform which combines a Parabolic Rocker Profile for catch-free turn initiation, with Grip Tech Contact Points for added control underfoot. The Element provides high value at a mid-range commitment.

Features +

Grip Tech 2.25mm

Grip Tech 2.25 mm refers to Arbor's unique edge technology featured on the Element Decon Snowboard. Grip Tech adds extra contact points under your heels and toes, giving you more direct and reliable edge hold—especially on hardpack or icy conditions. The "2.25 mm" indicates the depth of these contact points, which helps maximize control and response without making the ride feel too grabby. It's a key part of what makes our boards feel stable and confident, even when the snow gets tricky.

Bio Resin

Bio-Resin is our more sustainable alternative to traditional petroleum-based resin. We use it in all our Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers, including on the Element Decon Snowboard. The ingredients for Bio-Resin are sourced as co-products or waste from other industrial processes, and it's made using green chemistry techniques. This reduces the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% compared to standard petroleum-based resin, all without sacrificing performance or durability. It's a key part of how we build high-quality boards while staying committed to sustainability.

Highland Core

The Highland Core is one of our most versatile wood cores at Arbor. It's constructed with a blend of poplar and paulownia wood in a 1:2 ratio, which makes it super lightweight while still offering great durability and lively performance. You'll find the Highland Core in boards like the Element Decon Snowboard, where it helps deliver a responsive, reliable ride that's perfect for all-mountain and resort conditions. This core is also sustainably sourced, aligning with our Returning Roots program. If you want a board that balances strength, weight, and eco-conscious construction, the Highland Core is a solid choice.

You'll find the Highland III Core in top-tier boards like the El Camino, where it helps balance freestyle playfulness with backcountry power. If you're looking for a core that's light, strong, and built for serious riding, Highland III is the way to go.

Biax Glassing

Biax glassing refers to the type of fiberglass layup used in the construction of a snowboard. On the Element Decon Snowboard, biax glassing means the fiberglass layers are oriented in two directions (typically 0° and 90°). This setup provides a softer, more forgiving flex, making the board easier to maneuver and great for park, street, and all-mountain riding. It's also a solid choice for beginners and intermediates because it helps with progression and control. If you want a board that's playful and easy to ride, biax glassing is a great feature

Extruded Base

The Element Decon Snowboard features an extruded base. This type of base is known for being low-maintenance and durable. It's easier to repair than a sintered base and doesn't require as much waxing to stay fast, making it a great choice for riders who want convenience and reliability. If you're looking for a board that's easy to care for and still delivers solid performance at the resort, the Element Decon's extruded base is a solid option.

Sidecut

The Element Decon Snowboard features Arbor's System Rocker platform, which uses a parabolic rocker profile and Grip Tech contact points. While I don't have the exact sidecut radius numbers for the Element Decon, the board is designed with a mountain twin shape and sidecut geometry that works with the Grip Tech edges to give you extra control and easy turn initiation. This setup is ideal for riders who want a catch-free, responsive feel across changing resort terrain.

System Rocker

The System Rocker is Arbor's signature rocker profile. It features a parabolic rocker shape, which means the board is rockered more at the tips and less between the feet. This design gives you a surfy, catch-free ride with easy turn initiation and great float in softer snow. To balance out the loose feel of rocker, we add Grip Tech contact points underfoot for extra edge hold and control, especially on hardpack or icy conditions.

If you're looking for a playful, forgiving ride that's easy to maneuver and less likely to catch an edge, System Rocker is the way to go. The Element Decon Snowboard you're checking out uses this exact tech for a smooth, versatile resort experience.
